Edwin’s Week 1 Mythic Power Rankings
“I’m Ed. These are my power rankings. Prove me wrong.”
Edwin “OnceWeak” Tayo
8th - RLS
I give my utmost respect to Ruby’s Lightup Skechers for willing to step up and play in a league with much stronger opponents than they are. From my experience referee-ing this team during Mythic qualifiers, they are a group who effeciently does their research and come up with a cohesive gameplan. I wish this team the very best as they have a very long journey ahead of them.
7th - HBK
Former Potato Peeler Jungler, ProLupul, was a formidable team player to look out for as he was able to help POP secure the #2 Seed in the regular split of FFS2. Now with H-Block, I’m curious to see if he will be able to repeat what he did before and take down his former teammates, who are now playing for Poseidon Gaming.
6th - BABY
Jafy, Luru and FangOverFang were once unknowns to the Friend or Foe league until they joined forces with the unwinnable Gulag Gang. A team who was dead-last for majority of the season. Since their arrival, they help reshaped GG to become contenders and earning them the opportunity to play in Season 2 QuarterFinals. Now starting over with a clean slate. I can imagine they have the chance to end their season with a positive record.
5th - TUB
Krumpy was one of my favorite players to watch throughout Season 2. It was extremely entertaining to watch both him and Antoons smurf their lane and continue to push their gold leads into the mid-to-late game. I’m excited to him on a new team. The Ugly Barnacles have the opportunity to prove me wrong and say they belong in the Top 4.
4th - OOD
Team Ooh Deer is 4th on my list. They lost to TBD in the final game of the regular season, missing their chance for a playoff spot. Soximus is now committed to play for the full season and their bot lane made up by Antoons, former ATL and POG support, and Photograph as their new starting ADC. If the rumors I’ve heard are true, Team Ooh Deer now looks better than ever.
3rd - SGR
I put this 3rd on the list because of one player - StreetSmurf. Personally, my #1 overall player in the Friend or Foe series creates his own team for FFS3, "SGR Reborn”. No matter what team he is on, StreetSmurf has been an absolute monster for Friend or Foe and I’m excited to see him and his friends compete in season 3.
2nd - ACE
Team A-Click had a slow start in Season 2. However, they improved dramatically by the 2nd half of the regular split, then winning it all to be crowned as champions. Burstlimit is the best Top Laner in FFS and along with him is Swordblue, an extremely talented individual who can carry the game in any role. Teams in the Mythic league would have to bring their A-game if they want to take the chance to dethrone the current kings in Friend or Foe.
1st - POG
If there is a team in mind that can match the ACE’s skill leve, I immediately think it would be Poseidon Gaming. Bobrovsky stands as the only returning player for POG but I give him an A+ for recruiting some of the best players from last season’s Friend or Foe Series to play along with him. Crit Addict, Gunsi and Fat Ectomorph were the core members of Potato Peelers who ended their regular split as the #2 Seeded team of FFS2. Additionally, add Crow the Moonlit, former Atlas Gaming ADC. On paper, this team looks like the #1 team in the Friend or Foe Series.
