7th - RLS [+/-]
RLS has been complimented over the past two weeks for their improvement in their early game. However, that improvement needs to be tested and pushed to the limit now than ever before. They had a chance to put themselves in a spot to fight for playoffs had they taken down HBK, but alas, in the end, RLS’s inexperience in the mid/late game gave H-Block the win, and gave RLS a difficult schedule ahead of them if they want to enter the top six.
6th - HBK [-1]
H-Block played with a new roster again for their matchup against Poseidon Gaming which did not go in their favor one bit. The reasons for the changes are unknown to me but I would assume scheduling to have the starting members play could be the issue and they must make it work with whatever friends they have available. Respectable and understandable for sure. Poseidon Gaming were able to establish their gold early and shutting down both solo laners of H-Block to have any kind of impact. As we approach the the second half of the Friend or Foe season, we would hope to see HBK established their roster and make a comeback before playoffs.
5th - ACE [-1]
Every once in a while, we as players and teammates can experience a bad game that we all have to learn from. Team Ace is known create clever strategies from the get go of the game. When it works it works but when it doesn’t they try again and again. However, I felt with their most recent game with SGR, Burstlimit went for a gamble that didn’t work out, and Swordblue went for a gamble to try to fix it. SGR responded with countermoves perfectly. We can only wait to see if Team A-Click has improve from their blunders.
4th - OOD [+2]
They did it in Season 1, Season 2, and now Season 3. Team Ooh Deer is the kryptonite for any team that starts to go undefeated as they were able to take down TUB in Week 4. With the help of Jango playing Lee Sin in the Top Lane, OOD was able to create an early gold lead during the laning phase and used his gold advantage to sway team fights in the later stage of the game. From what we as the audience could see, Jango has been a great teammate for all of OOD. I hope find Team Ooh Deer make their way into the top 3 very soon.
3rd - SGR [+/-]
One of our representatives from Canada, SGR Reborn, are locked in for the third spot of my Power Rankings heading into the 5th week of the Friend or Foe Series. During week 4, SGR came out with the victory against Team Ooh Deer, a team that is starting to look stronger than ever with their new Top Laner, and FoF Season 2 champions Team A-Click.
Hepate is playing consistently and likes to bully his lane opponent. Akaipo plays well as the assassin of the group by one-shotting the enemy carries to then disappear in a flash. In addition, the Warplaque and PR Frozen duo (WarZen? FroPlaque?) is fun to watch. Warplaque is a mechanical monster at the ADC role.
2nd - POG [+/-]
Poseidon Gaming learns to adapt to the current Meta fast and adjusting their draft strategy on a weekly basis. Teams drafting against POG would find it a troubling task. Do you ban their main champions or do you ban what is currently good?
Moving on to gameplay, Bobrovsky has been a consistent jungler as he would find early kills in the laning phase of the match and can provide a great assistance to either side lane if he decides to camp them. GunsiGap can hold his own in the Mid Lane as he has shown time and time again that he can pressure his lane opponent under tower and be on the hunt with Bobrovsky when he roams to either side lanes. On a good day, Gunsi would show up in time for a team fight or gank and clean up the battle with a double or triple kill, leaving opposing teams in the dust.
1st - TUB [+/-]
Their road to become the first Mythic team to go through an entire season undefeated was short lived by their fall against Team Ooh Deer in Week 4. The Ugly Barnacles are an exceptionally great team, especially if you are a fan of watching Rhyre taking total control of the game itself. He reminds me of BoExplode87 back in Season 2 - a player who would absolutely destroy you and your team by always being 10 steps ahead of you. Even when his laners are struggling, Rhyre become the beacon of light to help bring them back.
Wuaton is also underrated, his tanky play-style is perfect for the team as we see TUB mostly run a triple carry team composition. As a laner, he’s someone who will hit back if you try to bully him, and as for his role in the team fights, he becomes an unkillable peeling machine. Always knowing where the threat is and facing it head-on to protect his teammates.
