FoF Captain’s Draft

Trial Tournament

We're hosting a short, two-week League of Legends tournament where players from the community can draft each other into mixed up teams! Signups are open now and will close on Friday, June 3rd! Summary

  • 5v5 LoL tournament where teams will mix and match in a Compass bracket (similar to Clash's bracket)

  • Randomly selected Captains will snake-draft their team members based on the pool of player applicants

  • All ranks may apply to participate, but teams drafted will be kept to a "Platinum 1 average" limit (refer to rule document)

Dates

Signups Close - Friday, June 3rd

Draft Day - June 6th @ 5PM PST

Match Dates - June 13, 14, 20, 21

Times - Slot between 4:00PM-8:30PM PST

Format

  • 5v5 Summoner's Rift

  • Captains Snake-Draft Teammates

  • Compass Format (3-Game-Guarantee Format if less than 8 total teams are made)

Event Statement

"We're happy to announce a unique, fun, and experimental format for a small off-season tournament. We plan to entertain the possibility of new, alternative rules and formats for future projects, but would like your help to get as much information as possible. We decided the best way to collect data was to do this in a small event while also giving our players something really fun to enjoy in the off season as well. Sign-ups will close Friday, June 3rd, and then teams will be drafted June 6th at 5pm PST in a snake draft format. The tournament will mimic the same flow as Clash. Each team will play a match on June 13th and 14th in a Best of one, and a BO3 on either June 20th or 21st.
