Introducing Mini-Tournaments

It’s been a couple months since we last saw Friend or Foe teams in action. As announced in the last Friend or Foe Connect, the head producers of Friend or Foe Esports will be working on projects outside of our organization during the Spring. Which means moving the normal FoF season that everyone knows towards the Summer. While we wait for the producers to return, we’ll be hosting small mini-tournaments to allow teams to test out rosters, practice role swaps, or to just join in on the fun. Although this particular tournament is Heroic-level (Plat-under), we hope to host more events throughout the year with more eligibility options. We hope to see you all back in action soon!

General Tournament Info

Tournament Format

Day 1

Teams are matched up randomly to play one Best-of-Three. Winners will move on to Day 2.

Day 2 

(odd # of teams)   Winners of Day 1 will play in a single Round Robin where each team will play each other at least once in a Best-of-One. The top two teams by W-L record move on to Day 2. 

(even # of teams) Winners of Day 1 will be matched up to play another Best-of-Three. Winners will continue to play until two teams remain.

Day 3

The top two teams from Day 2 will play a Best-of-Five to determine the tournament winner.

Roster Eligibility

  • This Tournament will feature a Platinum 1 rank limit where all participants must be Ranked no higher than Platinum 1 in both the current and previous League of Legends Ranked Season. More elaboration can be found in our Rule List.

  • Teams will be allowed to field five starters and five substitutes for the duration of the tournament, resulting in a total of 10 possible members.

Event Dates

  • Time Slots - All matches will take place in a time slot between 4:00 PM PST and 8:00 PM PST.

  • Match Days - March 6, 7, and 10. (Monday, Tuesday, and Friday)

  • Sign-ups - Now open. Will close on February 23rd
